Feel the Zeel of Giving Holiday Events

Downtown Zeeland Volunteer Opportunities

Thursdays & Fridays in December  ●  December 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18  ●  4:30-8:15pm

Trolley Volunteers:

Suggested Shifts

·         4:30-6:30pm

·         6:15-8:15pm

4 volunteers needed at all times. 

·         2 to manage the trolley line-up, reserve trolley parking, information station.

·         2 to lead Christmas carols on the trolley rides (do not need to be musically inclined!)  Music sheets provided.

·         Please meet in front of “The Zeeland Print Shop,” located at 145 E. Main Street.

Gift Wrap Station Volunteers:

Suggested Shifts:

·         4:30-6:30pm

·         6:15-8:15pm

2 volunteers needed at all times.

·         Assist employees at “Clothes Junkie,” located at 141 E. Main Street in providing free gift wrapping to customers.

Strolling Elves:

Suggested Shifts:

·         4:30-6:30pm

·         6:15-8:15pm

2 volunteers needed at all times.  (the more the merrier!)

·         You don’t really have to dress as elves!  But we will have Santa hats for you!

·         Volunteers will stroll Main Street and help guide shoppers to their next activity or destination.  Elves are welcome to pass out United Way & Feel the Zeel buttons, Free gift wrap coupons, or provide useful information.

·         Meet at “The  Zeeland Print Shop,” 145 E. Main St., to sign in for your shift.

It is recommended that outdoor Volunteers dress very warmly—including warm shoes or boots.

***Volunteers will be warmed up with complimentary coffee or cocoa & sweets after their shifts!***
