Volunteer Recognition

Greater Ottawa County United Way announces our annual Red Ribbon Campaign in recognition of National Volunteer Week, April 11th– April 16^th 2011.  We extend an invitation to all non-profit agencies, schools, government and service organizations to join us in recognizing active volunteers.

We will provide three-inch red ribbons folded in a “V” for “volunteer” on a pre-order basis to all agencies and organizations wishing to use them to recognize their volunteers.  There is no charge for your ribbon order.  Also available is a copy of this year’s Points of Light Appreciation Certificate and a template letter you can personalize which explains the purpose of the red ribbons and their connection with National Volunteer Week located below.

 Nominate a volunteer for the “Volunteer Star”award, this is for individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make a measurable difference in their community. Volunteers who are selected for this award will receive a certificate from Greater Ottawa County United Way along with a thank you letter and the nominators name and agency.
